Some more basic Pikmin rules.
When you first start out in the rpg you'll have only one Pikmin color, one onion, and three Pikmin. It may not seem like much at first, but once you start gathering your dead foes you'll get much more Pikmin.
And if you want more Pikmin colors, just keep an eye out on the map, you might find an onion laying around somewhere, just go there and touch it, and the new onion will be yours!
Each Pikmin will have their own special ability, and there are many different kinds of Pikmin, at least 15.
You can only have up to 50 Pikmin out on the field with you at a time, and 100 Pikmin in each Onion.
Techniques-
Swarming: Swarming is basically when you just charge forward with your Pikmin and they just go ahead and strike your target. They'll even latch on to it, only around 15 or so Pikmin will actually attack, depending on how big the enemy is.
Throwing: The stronger you get, the harder and farther you can throw Pikmin. You can only throw up to 15 Pikmin when your at Throwing Level 1.
Idle: You can seperate your Pikmin at will, seperate the blue flowers from the blue leafs, seperate the reds from the yellows, whatever.
Sometimes, when flower Pikmin die, they will turn into a seed and fall to the ground, and will sprout up the next day.
If you leave your Pikmin in the ground, after it's first born, it will eventually turn into a flower.
You can also turn Pikmin into flowers by letting them drink nectar.
Pikmin Speeds-
Not all Pikmin can run as fast as their Captain, and because of this, they might lag behind, and you will be left waiting for them to catch up.
To show how far you run, depending on your speed, just look at the bottom of the map, and it should tell you how far you can travel if your average speed is 1.5, which all Captains start off with, from there, you can estimate how far your Pikmin will go if they only have 1 speed.
Carrying Speed-
If your Pikmin are carrying a small object that requires only a few Pikmin, then they shall move at a decent pace. But.. if your Pikmin are carrying a large object that requires many Pikmin, their speed will be very slow. So be wary of when your Oxygen, or the day, is running low, and call your Pikmin back before it's to late.
End of The Day-
There are two types of 'End of The Day', the first one is the most basic, when you run out of oxygen. Once you get down to low number, 7-1%, your emergency backup supply will activate, and you will have one turn to get back to your ship. Your speed will also increase by '.5', giving you plenty of time to return. But, if your Pikmin are no where near your ship when you leave, they will be stranded there. Other Captain's could possibly come by and take them, or they would simply get eaten.
The second type is Sunset, you could still have 30% oxygen, but if the sun is setting, you will be forced to leave. The nocternal creatures would be to dangerous for you. You will have 'X' ammount of turns to leave, and once that time is up, and you're NOT in your ship. The emergency teleportation device will active, sending you back to your ship, and if any Pikmin are left out, they will be eaten. Not only that, but the teleportation device uses up electricity in your ship, and you will need to pay 250 Pokos. If you do not have that much, it will be taken out of your treasure supply as you collect it.
